Who We Are
Founded in 2002 by our President, Bob Ellison, Missing Link began with the idea that computer services could be provided in a different manner – one where the provider only profits when its customers systems ARE WORKING. In 2006, Mike Runyon joined the team as we began employing technology and automation to bring “big business” I.T. benefits to small companies at a fraction of the price.
Bob spent almost 10 years in the U.S. Navy as submarine Nuclear Reactor Operator and Prototype Instructor. During this time, he learned the value of integrity and the importance of procedural compliance, systems redundancy and preventive monitoring/maintenance. After his time in the military, Bob worked in various I.T. roles for military defense contractors, school districts and local computer support providers.
As Bob said, I came on the scene in 2006. Just prior to that I was a contractor working at Lexmark and prior to that I worked for the Government, both as a Security Contractor and as an enlisted man in the Army for eight years. Part of that time in the Army I spent serving as a CounterIntelligence Agent (I know…oxymoron, blah, blah). There are skills, attributes, and character traits that parlay well into the Managed Services approach that we employ now. E.g. @ Missing Link we will be honest and candid with you, we will pay attention to detail and make sure you understand the approach we take to making your network more reliable. We trust you and hope you trust us to put what’s in YOUR best interest first – Bob and I understand who we SERVE!

While these folks may have provided a great service at a great price, they typically don’t have the experience or knowledge of today’s constantly changing technology systems. Our “Managed Services” Business Plan
Our “Managed Services” model is much more proactive than the old “break/fix by the hour” model. The Missing Link approach, which combines the latest technology with proven “corporate I.T.” best practices, allows us to handle issues BEFORE they become problems for our customers. This allows our Clients to focus on their business instead of their computers.
We act as a liaison with our Client’s vendors and provide Help Desk services to ALL of our Client’s employees, freeing them up to do the work they were hired to do.
